We were referred to CREATE Fertility for our NHS-funded treatment cycle
Our first appointment was exciting, yet daunting – it had taken a long time to get to this point! We felt that the appointment was informative and the doctor explained the process, the necessary steps we needed to take, and the timelines involved very clearly. We left feeling hopeful that we would be able to do our round of IVF the following month.
"There were certainly no silly questions, and we felt at ease asking these of the nurse."
During the egg collection and embryo transfer, all the staff involved cared for us extremely well and reassured us of any anxieties we had. We felt the Birmingham clinic was well organised and treatment was very prompt. The building is easily accessible and parking is readily available, which allowed our experience to be very smooth.
"We felt that all staff when attending scans and blood tests were kind and supportive of our journey – the care felt personal to us!"
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank the embryologist particularly, for the reassurance and kindness she showed during the transfer and with the telephone calls we received after transfer. We found these calls to be upsetting due to the nature of the conversations, but she spoke in a way that helped reassure us that our embryo had a chance of success. She also handled the difficult conversation regarding the discarding of our other embryos with kindness and compassion.
From the time we were initially referred to CREATE Fertility to our positive outcome, we felt reassured by the whole team every step of the way. The whole process for anyone is stressful and daunting, but they worked hard to put us at ease at all times.
"The care, kindness and compassion of the staff stands out as the main factor why someone should choose CREATE for their fertility journey"
We are loving life as parents and enjoying making memories as a family of 3. The journey to get to where we are today was a long one, and it has made us appreciate everything about parenthood that little bit more! It even makes the late nights and lack of sleep worth it!
If we were to give advice to other couples considering fertility treatment, we would say ask lots of questions and don’t feel like anything is a silly one. You’d rather know the answer to something than regret not asking it. Don’t just think the treatment being quick is a good thing, take the time to request further investigations if you feel that they are necessary as you want to ensure that you have every chance for success.
Other than that, just do it…remember, it only takes one embryo!
