Rose's Story | CREATE offered us an approach that worked with my body rather than against it
Particularly for women like me in their early 40s with a low AMH, it can be very easy to feel that your options are running out. After three unsuccessful rounds of conventional IVF at another clinic, we were feeling understandably disheartened.
However, we came away from our first appointment at CREATE Fertility Wimbledon feeling that we were in very safe hands. We were understandably a little nervous about starting with a new clinic after everything we had already been through, but from our very first appointment with Dr Ivanka, we felt reassured. She was incredibly knowledgeable and she suggested a treatment protocol that was specifically tailored to us, which gave us a great deal of confidence from the outset.

The team were always very kind, caring and professional throughout our treatment. I particularly liked having a dedicated Patient Coordinator. At my previous clinic, I often found myself speaking to a different person each time, whereas at CREATE I felt that I had a more personal relationship with my coordinator and that they really knew our journey. We were given clear instructions at each stage of the treatment process, which made everything feel much easier to understand, and we always felt supported throughout.
The nurses were always very kind, caring and attentive, particularly during the egg collection, which can feel quite daunting. All of the doctors and nurses took the time to ask how we were feeling, both physically and emotionally, which made a real difference.
"I never felt like I was just a number or another patient going through a process - we always felt that we were being treated as individuals."
Having a 24-hour number to call in case of an emergency was also very reassuring and helped us feel supported throughout our treatment.
Life as a parent is wonderfully rewarding and happy. Looking after a baby is certainly a learning curve, and there are moments when we’re still figuring things out, but he brings so much joy to our lives. We feel incredibly lucky to have him and are enjoying every minute of this new chapter as a family.

We had a really positive experience from our very first appointment, and throughout our treatment we always felt that we were in safe hands and being treated as individuals. The care and support we received gave us confidence throughout what can be quite an emotional journey, and ultimately our treatment led to the birth of our beautiful baby boy.
