CREATE personalised my treatment based on my health condition
I was very impressed with my first appointment. I have a health condition that no doctor has properly diagnosed me with previously but I got given a diagnosis straight away on my first consultation. I was relieved that I had a finally got a name for my condition. This meant going forward with my treatment I would get the proper care not just a standard "one size fits all" approach which I had at a previous clinic which resulted in multiple failures with my treatment.
I had 3 rounds of treatment. Going into the first round I felt very nervous as I thought this was never going to work for me. I was used to all of the injections from when I previously had treatment at another clinic. What was most difficult and nerve wracking for me was the egg collection, the not knowing how many eggs were going to be collected each time and I got quite upset when I was told how many I had as I was expecting more. But I have a low AMH level and the quality of my eggs wasn't great. On the 2nd round I got around 8 eggs collected but none of them made it to day 5. I was devastated that this happened and I had it in my head that I wasn’t going to go through with my last round.
"The staff were brilliant. They kept me informed throughout and tweaked my treatment along the way. I felt like things weren’t rushed compared to previous treatment I have had elsewhere."
I had a follow up appointment with a consultant as to why none of the embryos made it to day 5. It seemed my embryos just didn’t like the lab environment so we decided, going forward, that a day 3 transfer was best. I somehow got the courage to try again one last time and have the 3rd round. This time, 2 embryos fertilised but only one made it on day 3 and was a grade 2. I had this transferred on day 3 and this resulted in my little girl.
I remember getting the phone call to say that my HCG levels were high meaning I was pregnant and this still is the best moment of my life hearing those words that I was pregnant. It was just before Christmas too and this was the best present I could ever ask for. I was very nervous and worried that my pregnancy was viable until I went for a scan at 3 weeks and I heard my little girls heart beat for the first time I will never forget that moment.

Being a parent to my little girl is the best feeling ever. I look at her and can’t believe this little girl was made in a lab and grew from a tiny dot to a full grown baby.

I would recommend CREATE Fertility Manchester as they were a friendly team, the doctors came up with a diagnosis of my condition and tweaked my treatment accordingly. I will be forever grateful for the team for making our dreams come true.
To those who are considering IVF, never give up and always have hope, that is what got me through my treatment. Also be patient and listen to everything that is said by the doctors and don’t be afraid to ask questions.
