If you are eligible for NHS-funded IVF from one of these CCGs, CREATE Fertility Hertfordshire will be your NHS treatment provider. We have no waiting list to commence treatment, and most patients can start on their next cycle after referral.
If you meet the eligibility criteria for NHS-funded IVF, you can select CREATE Fertility for your treatment. The process to get referred to CREATE is simple, a referral form will be filled on your behalf and sent to us. We will review your details, confirm your eligibility, and one of our team will contact you to book in your first appointment.
Once we receive a referral, it usually takes no longer than 5 days to in touch with you, unless there are circumstances which require further investigation.
Our team will find out if you have any individual circumstances that we need to take into account before your first booking, such as organising a translator for you or a preference for an out-of-hours appointment.
Whether you can receive NHS funding for your IVF or fertility treatment is ultimately decided by your local clinical commissioning group (CCG).

Laboratory Director
Martin Wilding has a degree in Biochemistry from Imperial College London and a Ph.D. in the physiology of fertilisation from University College London. He has practised IVF and ICSI from 1999 and has worked in many top ranking IVF centres throughout Europe including Italy and Switzerland. Martin is HPC registered and is a fellow of the Royal College of Pathologists. He has over 50 research papers in the field of human reproduction and his research interests including studying the relationship between maternal age and reproduction.
Lead IVF Consultant
Dr Abhijit Kulkarni is a Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) with a Diploma in Obstetrics & Gynaecology and a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists UK (MRCOG).
He completed his undergraduate & postgraduate training in India in 2003. Since then he has worked in India and South Pacific countries in Obstetrics & Gynaecology for 7 years. He received a sponsorship from the RCOG in 2010 and was invited to work in the UK. Since then he has worked for 5 years in Obstetrics & Gynaecology in various NHS hospitals.
He is highly experienced in all aspects of reproductive medicine & endocrinology including management of polycystic ovaries, egg freezing, same sex couples, recurrent implantation failure after IVF treatment, recurrent miscarriage and those with premature ovarian insufficiency.
Dr Kulkarni is extremely passionate about working at CREATE Fertility and providing tailored treatments to meet the unique and specific needs of patients offering high quality care and a satisfying patient experience.

St Albans and Potters Bar are the closest train stations to London Colney, and from these it is just a short bus journey to the clinic.
The 84A bus towards New Barnet Station leaves from Stop B at St Albans station and stops on the High Street opposite King's Road. It is then a short walk down the road to the clinic. Bus 84 also travels in the opposite direction, from the Bus Garage at Potters Bar, stopping at the same bus stop.
We kindly request that visitors refrain from parking outside the clinic. For your convenience, alternative free parking is available 5 minutes walking distance to the clinic. These are at Caledon Community Centre (Caledon Road, London Colney, St Albans AL2 1PS) and behind the Co-Op (7-9 Haseldine Road, London Colney, St Albans AL2 1RR). There is an alleyway off Manor Road leading straight to the practice.
There are cafes and shops located on the nearby High Street.
