We are proud to work with local CCGs in Walsall, Wolverhampton, Dudley and Sandwell & West Birmingham.
If you are eligible for NHS-funded IVF from one of these CCGs, CREATE Fertility Birmingham will be your NHS treatment provider. We have no waiting list to commence treatment, and most patients can start on their next cycle after referral.
Your local NHS fertility service will refer you to CREATE Fertility if you meet the eligibility criteria for NHS-funded IVF. The process to get referred to CREATE is simple, they will fill out a referral form on your behalf and send it to us. We will review your details, confirm your eligibility, and one of our patient co-ordinators will contact you to book in your first appointment.
Once we receive a referral, it usually takes no longer than 5 days to in touch with you, unless there are medical circumstances which require further investigation.
Your patient coordinator will find out if you have any individual circumstances that we need to take into account before your first booking, such as organising a translator for you or a preference for an out-of-hours appointment.

Lead IVF Consultant
Adrija Kumar Datta MD, FRCOG, is the Lead Consultant in CREATE, Birmingham, UK and Honorary Senior Lecturer at Bolton University. Dr Datta passed MBBS from the University of Calcutta in 1988 and obtained Masters (MD) from the same university in 1996. He became a Member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) in the year 2005 and Fellow (FRCOG) in 2019. He was an Ex-Assistant Professor in a Manipal College of Medical Science in Nepal 200-2002. He is a trainer for British Fertility Society and Ultrasound scan.
Dr Datta joined the Board of the International Society for Mild Approaches in Assisted Reproduction (ISMAAR) as Research Coordinator. He is one of the Editors of a book which will be published soon under the banner of ISMAAR. He is a regular reviewer of many journals including Human Reproduction, Reproductive BioMedicine Online, British Medical Journal and Human Fertility. He is in the Editorial Board of Fertility Sterility Reviews.
Dr Datta has published papers in peer-review journals including a few Hi-indexed journals as the first author. He wrote 4 chapters in books. He presented (both oral and poster) in international conferences including ESHRE, ASRM, BFS (Fertility), RCOG congress. His area of special interest is ovarian stimulation, although he had original research in other fields of Reproductive Medicine.
Lead Consultant
Dr Nirmal Felix completed her Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in India with distinctions. She underwent postgraduate training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology training both in India and in the East Midlands deanery including Nottingham, Leicester and Chesterfield hospitals. She attained the membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2011.
Subsequently, she gained more experience in assisted reproduction while working in a fertility unit in the Midlands where she was the Clinical IVF specialist and Recurrent Miscarriage Lead. She has completed British Fertility Society (BFS) modules on ultrasound and embryo transfer. Her special interests are reproductive immunology and endocrinology.
She is a trainer for the West Midlands transvaginal scanning course. She is an active member of the British Fertility Society, European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology and Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists.
Dr Nirmal has always been praised about the extra mile she takes in the care of her patients. Impressed by the patient-centred approach of Natural and Mild IVF, she has joined CREATE and is passionate about offering this as a first choice for anyone who needs fertility treatment.
Laboratory Manager
Paul has a degree in biology from the University of Manchester and over 20 years of experience in clinical embryology and research, with 10 years of healthcare management experience. He is registered as a Clinical Scientist with the Health & Care Professions Council and is a diplomate of the Royal College of Pathologists.
Paul has particular expertise in developing and evaluating clinical practice and has delivered regular lectures on chemotherapy and fertility issues at The University of Northampton School of Health and Milton Keynes Postgraduate Education Centre.
At CREATE Fertility, Paul developed a new In Vitro Maturation of oocytes (IVM) service to maximise success rates with patients undergoing natural and modified IVF treatment.
After personal training from Professor Ri-Cheng Chian, Paul improved the egg and embryo freezing service through the introduction of vitrification, resulting in improved survival rates from 65-70% to over 90% and improved subsequent pregnancy rates.
As Laboratory Manager and Head of Laboratory Compliance at our Birmingham clinic, Paul oversees all embryology duties and has overall responsibility and legal liability for the provision of all licensed clinical procedures, providing expert leadership to ensure that the unit and staff adhere to the HFEA Act and published standards.

The nearest train station is Birmingham International train station. There are direct trains to this station from Birmingham New Street station. Patients travelling from other parts of the Midlands will have to change at Birmingham New Street station.
The number 75 bus stops at Fujitsu, which is a one minute walk from the clinic. This bus goes from Birmingham International station. An alternative bus is the 97A which stops at Helmswood drive, a 14 minute walk from the clinic. This bus also leaves regularly from Birmingham International station.
There is free parking available at the rear of the clinic.
Country pub The Little Owl serves seasonal pub food and is located round the corner from the clinic, just a 5 minute walk away. There is also a local Holiday Inn if you are looking for accommodation.
