Welcome Dr Cesar Diaz, our new Chief Medical Officer

1st July 2025 – We are excited to announce the appointment of international fertility expert Dr Cesar Diaz, as Chief Medical Officer for IVIRMA Northern Europe.

Dr Diaz joins us from the NHS in Scotland, where he has been a consultant in Reproductive Medicine at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary. He brings extensive expertise in patient-centred fertility care, and in his new role as our Chief Medical Officer, will continue to champion the ethos of our clinics – delivering world-class, woman-centric fertility treatment. Having developed his medical and scientific career across France, Spain, Sweden and the UK, Dr Diaz has held a number of clinical leadership roles – and was most recently Medical Director of IVI London, one of our partner clinics, between 2017 and 2024. In his new role, Dr Diaz will be leading our medical teams across IVIRMA in Northern Europe including at our UK clinics (IVI, CREATE Fertility, abc ivf) and in the Nordics (Livio, Carl von Linne and Vitanova), with a focus on delivering world-class care for all of our patients.

A global innovator
A specialist in reproductive surgeries and transplantation, Dr Diaz’s scientific career has been devoted to the field of fertility preservation. In 2009 he joined a specialist medical program focusing on uterus transplantation and was part of the ground-breaking team that achieved the UK’s first-ever successful womb transplant. His contributions to the field of premature ovarian insufficiency and poor response in IVF are also significant.  He brings significant pioneering capability and a depth of knowledge to our specialist team of experts.

His appointment as Chief Medical Officer marks a new chapter in our clinical leadership, building on the work of our founder, Professor Geeta Nargund, who left the company on 30th June 2025.
