Preparing for IVF treatment during the COVID-19 crisis

Preparing for IVF treatment during the COVID-19 crisis

I know that the suspension of treatment by the HFEA is very distressing news for many of our patients, especially those who have low egg reserve, and for those that have been waiting to start their fertility treatments for some time. But we are here to support you as much as possible during this difficult time. Here are a few suggestions that you can do during lockdown so that you are as prepared as possible once our clinics recommence treatment.

1. Use this time to make sure your body is ready for treatment and pregnancy

Make sure you're maintaining a healthy weight, getting regular exercise and following a balanced diet. While it may be difficult during this time, trying to stay relaxed and giving up vices such as smoking will all help to optimise your fertility status. You should also be taking folic acid with vitamin D. For more information of lifestyle changes you can make to optimise your fertility click here.

2. Do your research

We have lots of information on our website as well as useful blogs, and stories from previous patients. I also host weekly webinars and Q&A sessions where you can find out more about our services, as well having the opportunity to ask me any IVF questions. Register for my next webinar here.

3. Begin your journey now with our Virtual Initial Consultation

We are conducting virtual consultations so that you can start your journey now to ensure that everything is in place for you to begin treatment as soon as our clinics recommence. Find out more about our virtual consultations here.
