Dr Yusuf Beebeejaun is the Medical Director for CREATE Fertility at St Paul and is Honorary Consultant Gynaecologist and Subspecialist in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at King's College Hospital. He leads the centre's clinical, research, educational, and governance programmes while delivering personalised, evidence-based fertility care to patients at CREATE St Paul's.
Dr Beebeejaun graduated from King's College London School of Medicine before completing the accredited specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and a dedicated fellowship in Reproductive Medicine. He subsequently completed his subspecialty training in Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at King's Fertility and King's College Hospital, achieving dual accreditation with the General Medical Council. He is also a Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG).
Alongside his clinical training, Dr Beebeejaun completed a master's degree in healthcare Delivery and Leadership at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, USA and was subsequently admitted to the master's programme in Clinical Operations at Harvard Medical School. He also completed a postgraduate Clinical Research Fellowship in Boston, USA and is recognised as a Clinical Scholar of Harvard Medical School. He is currently completing a PhD at King's College London and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Dr Beebeejaun specialises in fertility assessment, IVF, ovarian stimulation, recurrent implantation failure, recurrent miscarriage, fertility preservation, and preimplantation genetic testing for aneuploidy (PGT-A). He is recognised for combining evidence-based medicine with highly personalised fertility care, tailoring treatment to the individual needs of each patient and couple.
An internationally recognised clinical researcher, Dr Beebeejaun has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in reproductive medicine, with particular interests in IVF optimisation, embryo selection, PGT-A, ovarian stimulation, and improving fertility outcomes. He led the United Kingdom's first randomised clinical trial evaluating PGT-A and currently leads international collaborative research examining embryo aneuploidy across different ethnic populations. His work has also included collaborations with the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority exploring ovarian stimulation strategies to reduce time to live birth.
He regularly presents his work at leading international meetings, including the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) and the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and is committed to translating research into meaningful improvements in patient care. He contributes to undergraduate and postgraduate medical education, serves as President-Elect of the Royal Society of Medicine Section of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and is Scientific Advisor and Academic Representative to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, where he also serves on the College's Disciplinary Committee.
