Dr Uma Dharman
Dr Uma Dharman is a graduate of the prestigious Stanley Medical College in Chennai, India. After graduating, she specialised in Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the Government Kasthurba Gandhi Hospital for women and children. She then trained in Prashanth Fertility and Research Center at Chennai which specialises in Laparoscopy & reproductive medicine.
She has worked in various hospitals at Chennai over a period of 6 years as a postgraduate. She also worked as a Senior Resident (Registrar) in Sri Muthukumaran Medical College being involved in teaching medical students in addition to clinical duties. Simultaneously she ran her own clinical practice in Obstetrics & Gynaecology operating independently.
She moved to the UK and joined CREATE in 2016. She was interested to join CREATE Fertility as the centre specialises in various advanced techniques in Natural & Mild approaches in ART thereby considerably reducing the risks involved in IVF and at the same time improving success rates. She also currently works at St George’s Hospital as a fellow in fertility under the able guidance of Professor Nargund.
Dr Dharman is a member of British Fertility Society. Her interests include assisted reproductive techniques, sonology, minimally invasive surgery and genetics.
