Dr Dipankar (Ron) Chowdhury is a Consultant at CREATE Fertility Birmingham and University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust, providing highly specialised, patient-centred care for complex fertility journeys. He has undertaken dual fellowship training in IVF at the Assisted Conception Unit, Guy’s Hospital, and in endometriosis and advanced laparoscopic surgery at Cambridge University Hospital, enabling him to bridge fertility treatment with complex gynaecological care.
He is an RCOG-accredited endometriosis surgeon, regularly performing complex laparoscopic pelvic surgery and advanced endometriosis excision. His clinical interests include endometriosis-related subfertility, fertility preservation, and male subfertility.
Dr Chowdhury is also a committed medical educator. He serves as Training Programme Director (Gynaecological Surgical Training) for the West Midlands, holds a University of Cambridge accreditation in Medical Education, and contributes to several national bodies, including the GMC, RCOG Surgical Skills, and the BSGE Endometriosis Centres Subcommittee.
